Al-Issa meets with PM Modi, Secretary-General of the Muslim World League

New Delhi – Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, the secretary-general of the Muslim World League, met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday and spoke about a number of topics.

During his tour to India, Al-Issa spoke at a gathering here that was sponsored by the Khusro Foundation and the India Islamic Cultural Centre. Al-Issa has been officially invited by the Indian government to visit this country.

Mecca is the home of the Muslim World League (MWL), a worldwide nongovernmental organisation that has members from every Islamic nation and sect. It seeks to spread awareness of Islam and its tolerant principles, offer humanitarian aid, build bridges of communication and cooperation with all, exhibit positive openness to all cultures and civilizations, take the moderate and centrist path, and combat movements that call for extremism, violence, and exclusion.
