Riyadh – The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center has unveiled a new digital platform aimed at enabling Saudi non-profit organizations to obtain accreditation for carrying out humanitarian relief and volunteer projects abroad.

The platform was inaugurated at KSrelief’s headquarters in Riyadh by Adviser at the Royal Court and supervisor-general of KSrelief, Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, highlighting the Kingdom’s commitment to structured and effective humanitarian action.

This innovative system allows Saudi NGOs to receive preliminary approval certificates, providing a streamlined process to meet international standards for governance, accountability, and operational readiness.

KSrelief, known for its extensive global humanitarian engagement, has implemented over 4,000 projects in more than 100 countries, providing assistance valued at over $8.2 billion, with a significant impact on vulnerable communities.

The organization’s initiatives have included emergency relief, healthcare support, shelter provision, and community rebuilding, touching countless lives and offering critical aid in crises around the world.

Dr. Al-Rabeeah emphasized that behind these figures are real human stories: lives saved, families sheltered, and communities restored with the resources needed to rebuild and thrive.

The new platform invites national NGOs to join KSrelief’s structured framework, ensuring they are evaluated, licensed, and prepared according to international best practices in humanitarian operations.

In its initial phase, the platform has successfully assessed and accredited over 50 local NGOs, each demonstrating effectiveness in delivering projects in the most vulnerable regions globally.

These accredited NGOs have already executed 229 relief and humanitarian programs, including more than 50,000 surgical operations across more than 20 countries, with total expenditures exceeding SR115 million.

The platform also strengthens volunteer engagement, reflecting the commitment and readiness of Saudi national cadres to contribute to humanitarian missions and global relief efforts.

To date, more than 1,200 volunteer projects have been implemented through KSrelief initiatives in multiple countries, with a cumulative value exceeding $147 million, illustrating both scale and impact.

Dr. Al-Rabeeah highlighted that these efforts reinforce the image of Saudi citizens as proactive ambassadors of peace, selflessness, and humanitarian values worldwide.

The platform ensures transparency, accountability, and efficiency in project implementation, providing NGOs with access to resources, training, and international operational standards.

By integrating technology into humanitarian accreditation, KSrelief aims to expand the reach and quality of Saudi humanitarian aid, allowing for faster deployment and better coordination of global relief activities.

This initiative aligns with Saudi Arabia’s broader commitment to humanitarian diplomacy, reflecting the Kingdom’s role as a global contributor to crisis response, development, and international solidarity.

The platform facilitates collaboration among local NGOs, enabling knowledge sharing, resource optimization, and joint efforts to address complex humanitarian challenges in diverse regions.

Through digital accreditation, KSrelief seeks to strengthen the professional capacity of Saudi NGOs, ensuring they meet international benchmarks while maintaining a focus on ethical, impactful, and culturally sensitive interventions.

The initiative represents a new chapter in Saudi humanitarian engagement, combining national talent, volunteer dedication, and technological innovation to enhance global relief capabilities.

By fostering organized, accountable, and high-quality humanitarian operations, KSrelief continues to position Saudi Arabia as a leading contributor to international aid and humanitarian development.
