Riyadh – Saudi Arabia’s humanitarian arm, KSrelief, continues to play a vital role in delivering lifesaving healthcare to vulnerable patients from Gaza, reflecting the Kingdom’s long-standing commitment to compassion and global solidarity.

Through targeted medical interventions, KSrelief is addressing urgent health needs for children and families who face severe limitations in accessing specialized treatment within Gaza’s strained healthcare system.

One such case involves Yazan Sami Nasman, a nine-year-old Palestinian child suffering from a tumor in the lymphatic system, whose condition required advanced medical care beyond local capacity.

As his health deteriorated, medical assessments highlighted the urgent need for specialized treatment and intensive care, prompting swift humanitarian coordination to secure appropriate medical support.

Following official arrangements, Yazan was transferred to Jordan to receive treatment at the King Hussein Cancer Center in Amman, a regional hub for advanced oncology care.

There, he is undergoing periodic examinations conducted by a dedicated pediatric lymphatic tumor team, ensuring continuous monitoring and tailored treatment to control his condition.

These medical efforts aim not only to stabilize his health but also to minimize long-term complications, offering renewed hope to his family during a deeply challenging time.

KSrelief’s support is part of a broader cooperation agreement signed in 2024 with the King Hussein Cancer Center, designed to treat cancer patients from Gaza who are deprived of essential care.

The initiative underscores the importance of cross-border humanitarian partnerships in addressing medical crises where local systems are overwhelmed by conflict and resource constraints.

Beyond Yazan’s case, KSrelief has extended similar support to numerous children from Gaza, each facing life-threatening conditions that require urgent and specialized intervention.

Among them is seven-year-old Eileen Rami Al-Kilani, who received treatment for colon cancer, highlighting the agency’s focus on pediatric oncology as a critical humanitarian priority.

KSrelief has also facilitated complex surgical procedures, including heart surgery for Mira Suhaib Aqqad, a Palestinian child born with a congenital heart defect.

In another urgent case, six-year-old Mohammed Abdullah Al-Kutnan was transferred from Gaza to Jordan to receive treatment for neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive childhood cancer.

Emergency care was likewise provided to three-year-old Seleen Shadi Abdul Salam, who is battling acute leukemia and requires continuous specialized medical supervision.

These interventions demonstrate KSrelief’s ability to respond rapidly to diverse medical emergencies, ensuring that children are not denied care due to circumstances beyond their control.

Currently, KSrelief is implementing a comprehensive medical project in collaboration with the King Hussein Cancer Center to treat 150 Palestinian cancer patients from Gaza.

The project, valued at over $3.6 million, reflects a structured and sustainable approach to humanitarian healthcare, focusing on long-term treatment rather than short-term relief alone.

By prioritizing access to specialized facilities and expert medical teams, the initiative aims to significantly improve survival rates and quality of life for affected patients.

KSrelief’s healthcare programs form a core part of Saudi Arabia’s wider humanitarian mission, which spans medical aid, food security, shelter, and emergency response worldwide.

Through these efforts, the Kingdom reinforces its role as a leading contributor to global humanitarian assistance, guided by principles of dignity, equity, and human solidarity.

For families in Gaza facing immense uncertainty, KSrelief’s continued medical support represents not only access to treatment, but also reassurance that they are not alone.
