Washington — Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman concluded a two-day visit to the United States on Thursday, marking a significant phase in strengthening cooperation across technology, energy and strategic industries.

The visit followed US President Donald Trump’s earlier trip to Riyadh in May, continuing a series of high-level engagements aimed at reinforcing long-standing bilateral ties.

During discussions at the White House, both sides reviewed regional and international developments, focusing on areas where closer coordination could support mutual stability and shared strategic goals.

Talks highlighted opportunities to expand cooperation in advanced technologies, with artificial intelligence, nuclear energy and critical minerals emerging as central pillars of future collaboration.

A joint declaration on civil nuclear energy was signed, outlining frameworks for cooperation in nuclear safety, uranium supply chains and peaceful energy development.

The agreement also includes new commitments on investment facilitation, financial partnerships, and alignment on capital markets to support cross-border economic activity.

Both nations endorsed a memorandum of understanding on education and training, aimed at enhancing knowledge exchange and preparing their workforces for emerging high-skill sectors.

The White House described the overall package of agreements signed since May as a major expansion of the bilateral partnership, placing Saudi investment commitments in the US near the $1 trillion mark.

This week’s signatures included the Strategic Defense Agreement, the Critical Minerals Framework and a new AI Strategic Partnership designed to accelerate joint innovation.

A state dinner hosted by President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump on Tuesday brought together senior officials, legislators and industry leaders from across the country.

The gathering underscored the importance both nations place on diplomatic continuity, while emphasizing the economic dimension of their cooperation.

On Wednesday, the crown prince attended the US–Saudi Investment Forum, where the two sides announced agreements and memorandums of understanding valued at approximately $270 billion.

These agreements covered sectors including technology, advanced manufacturing, transportation, energy transition initiatives and supply-chain resilience projects designed to support rapid industrial growth.

The crown prince also held separate meetings with US House Speaker Mike Johnson, along with members of the Senate and House committees involved in foreign affairs and national security.

These discussions focused on legislative cooperation, as well as opportunities to strengthen trade and address shared geopolitical challenges.

At the conclusion of the visit, the crown prince expressed appreciation to President Trump for the warm hospitality and close engagement extended to the Saudi delegation.

The Saudi delegation included senior ministers and advisors, representing sectors such as energy, foreign affairs, national security, commerce, finance and sovereign investment.

Senior Saudi officials in attendance included Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, Princess Reema bint Bandar, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, Musaed Al-Aiban and Majid Al-Qasabi.

Also present were Mohammed Al Al-Sheikh, Finance Minister Mohammed Al-Jadaan, US–Saudi Partnership Council Secretary-General Mohammed Al-Tuwaijri, and PIF Governor Yasir Al-Rumayyan.

From the US side, key participants included Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth.

Also attending were Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick, Secretary of Energy Chris Wright and White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles.

The conclusion of the visit marks a continued expansion of cooperation across economic, defense and technological fields, with both countries signaling readiness to pursue deeper partnership in areas of strategic importance.

The agreements signed this week are expected to shape next-generation cooperation, setting the stage for long-term collaboration in innovation, energy diversification and industrial growth.

Washington – Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman announced a major milestone in Saudi-US economic relations during a high-profile meeting

Washington – Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman announced a major milestone in Saudi-US economic relations during a high-profile meeting with US President Donald Trump at the White House, confirming that the Kingdom will raise its investments in the United States to an unprecedented $1 trillion, marking a new era of strategic cooperation and shared development between the two nations.

The announcement, made in the Oval Office, reflects the Kingdom’s growing global economic influence and its intention to strengthen long-term partnerships that support innovation, job creation and sustainable growth.

The crown prince emphasized that the investment increase builds on the already pledged $600 billion, highlighting the strong foundation on which both countries continue to expand their collaboration.

He described the new commitment as “real investment and real opportunity,” signaling a vision that aligns with Saudi Arabia’s pursuit of diversified global economic engagement under Vision 2030.

President Trump welcomed the announcement enthusiastically, praising the Kingdom as a “very important partner” and reaffirming the United States’ readiness to deepen cooperation across multiple sectors.

He further revealed that the US is prepared to sell F-35 stealth fighter jets to Saudi Arabia, placing the Kingdom on par with other key American allies in defense partnerships and strategic military capabilities.

Trump stated that both Saudi Arabia and Israel should have access to top-tier security technology, emphasizing that continued collaboration strengthens regional stability and supports America’s broader goals in the Middle East.

The defense announcement marks a significant moment in bilateral relations, advancing mutual security interests and reinforcing trust between the two nations.

During the meeting, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman also highlighted the central focus of his US visit: advancing large-scale investments in artificial intelligence infrastructure and emerging technologies.

He explained that the Kingdom views AI as a cornerstone of its Vision 2030 strategy, enabling economic diversification, technological leadership and future-ready industries that support global progress.

These AI initiatives include plans to accelerate innovation hubs, data centers, advanced robotics, cloud systems and next-generation digital ecosystems that align closely with American strengths in technology and research.

The crown prince stated that Saudi Arabia seeks long-term collaborations with US companies, universities and institutions to build powerful AI networks that benefit both countries and drive international competitiveness.

The meeting also covered regional issues, with the crown prince reaffirming the Kingdom’s commitment to promoting peace and stability in the Middle East.

He reiterated Saudi Arabia’s readiness to establish relations with Israel once a clear and just roadmap toward a two-state solution is secured for the Palestinian people.

He noted that the Kingdom wants to be part of the Abraham Accords while ensuring fairness, coexistence and lasting peace for both Israelis and Palestinians.

Saudi Arabia’s position reflects its longstanding diplomatic principles and its efforts to contribute to a secure, prosperous region grounded in dialogue and shared understanding.

President Trump stated that a civilian nuclear deal with Saudi Arabia is “within reach,” adding that he had already reached a new defense agreement with the Kingdom that would further strengthen cooperation.

These developments underscore the trust and alignment between the two countries on energy security, sustainable development and forward-looking technological partnerships.

When asked how the visit would strengthen ties between Riyadh and Washington, the crown prince described the Saudi-US partnership as irreplaceable and fundamental to political, economic, security and military progress on both sides.

He reaffirmed that the opportunities ahead are vast and that cooperation will only deepen over the coming decades, marking what he called “a huge new chapter” for both nations.

The crown prince was greeted with full ceremonial honors upon his arrival at the White House earlier in the day, including a symbolic US fighter jet flyover that celebrated his presence and acknowledged the importance of the visit.

The warm reception signaled the United States’ commitment to elevating its partnership with Saudi Arabia as both countries look toward a future shaped by innovation, investment and shared strategic priorities.
