Lebanon’s Hezbollah praises information minister Kordahi over Yemen comments

Date:

Beirut – Lebanon’s Shi’ite terrorist group Hezbollah on Thursday praised the information minister George Kordahi, who passed the unwarranted remarks against Saudi-led military intervention in Yemen, while favoring the Iran-backed Houthi militias.

Kordahi’s comments in an interview dated August 5th, have further strained Lebanon’s ties with the Arab countries, when the old comments became viral on Tuesday.

Speaking to an online show affiliated with Qatar’s Al Jazeera network, Kordahi called the Saudi-led military intervention as futile, and said Yemen was subjected to an aggression and that its Iran-aligned “Houthis were defending themselves”.

Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates summoned Lebanese ambassadors on Wednesday to protest over comments made by the information minister.
