Nobel Peace Prize winner praises Saudi rulers and politics

Date:

Riyadh – Dr. Mohan Munasinghe, the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize winner and vice chair of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change 2021, applauded the Kingdom’s policy of maintaining an equal distance from all other nations and participating in fruitful negotiations that benefit the Middle East as a whole by bringing stability, peace, and economic growth.

As a major actor in the Middle East, Saudi Arabia, according to Munasinghe, maintains an equal distance when interacting with all other nations, including the US, Russia, and China, in order to advance its own interests as well as those of other parties.

According to the Saudi News Agency, his remarks were made in Miami during the Global Priorities Conference.

Munasinghe praised Saudi Arabia’s leadership for its accomplishments, especially the recently announced deal with Iran, which reflects the region’s interests in terms of security, the economy, and on a number of other levels.

“As everyone is aware, Saudi Arabia has a large and ambitious economic project. For this to be realised in any nation, the foundation is an effective political decision and social stability, which Saudi Arabia presently enjoys in addition to its human capacity and the significant technological advancement it has made.”
