Manama – Bahrain’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifah sent a cable of condolences on Friday to the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over the Lag Ba’omer Mount Meron stampede.

Prince Salman expressed his condolences to the government of Israel and the bereaved families of the victims. He also wished a speedy recovery to those who are injured.

Over 45 people crushed to death in a stampede at a religious festival on the slopes of Israel’s Mount Meron when tens of thousands of ultra-Orthodox Jews had thronged to the tomb of 2nd-century sage Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai for the annual Lag B’Omer commemorations.
