Police guard shoots wife and son of a Gurgaon Judge, drags body on the road

Gurgaon – Wife and son of a judge were shot by their personal security guard in broad day light in Sector-49 of Gurgaon on Saturday.

According to Police, Ritu Kant and Dhruv Kant – wife and son of Additional Sessions Judge Krishan Kant went to Arcadia Market for shopping around 3:30 pm, when their guard – a Head Constable PTI Mahipal of Mahendargarh – allegedly shot her in the chest while her son was shot in the head. Later, the guard tried dragging Dhruv into the car but due to exhaustion left him on the road and escaped.

Deputy Commissioner of Police East – Sulochna Gajraj said – “the two have been rushed to a hospital in the city where they are in critical condition.”

“Some locals informed the police about gunshots being fired outside the Arcadia market. When a police team reached the spot, they found Ritu and Dhruv lying in a pool of blood,” she added.

According to another report, the accused reportedly reached the Sadar police station after the incident and opened fire at the officials present. An SHO tried to stop him but he managed to escape. However, he was later arrested from Faridabad road.

Reports claimed, during interrogation the guard told that he felt a spirit possessed him during the murder.
