Saudi Forces Demonstrate Advanced Readiness as ATLC-35 Air Drill Concludes
Abu Dhahi – The large-scale aerial warfare exercise ATLC-35 has concluded in the UAE, bringing together the Royal Saudi Air Force, the Royal Saudi Air Defense Forces and multiple allied air forces for an intensive round of joint training.
The drill served as one of the region’s key platforms for strengthening operational coordination and upgrading combat skills across participating units.
The exercise focused on sharpening readiness by simulating realistic air and missile warfare environments, allowing forces to practice strategic planning and execution.
Through a series of controlled scenarios, participating teams worked to enhance response capabilities and improve cooperation in complex, multi-force operations.
Saudi Tornado aircraft and their aircrews carried out a variety of missions, including defensive and offensive air operations designed to test agility and tactical awareness.
Additional sorties involved close air support, search-and-rescue drills, night flying operations, tactical night airdrops and air-to-air refueling missions, each contributing to a broader improvement in operational performance.
The training program helped pilots operate under diverse conditions, reinforcing decision-making skills during simulated high-pressure engagements.
These exercises also strengthened the ability of ground crews to support rapid mission transitions and manage complex operational requirements.
Lt. Col. Pilot Hamad bin Hashim Al-Harbi, commander of the RSAF contingent, said the mission successfully met its objectives by deepening cooperation among participating forces.
He noted that the training helped enhance readiness and efficiency while providing valuable opportunities to exchange expertise in a coordinated, controlled environment.
Al-Harbi emphasized that the exercise further refined the skills of both pilots and technical teams, contributing to higher levels of professionalism within the participating units.
He highlighted the advanced capabilities demonstrated by the RSAF throughout the drill, reflecting the broader development of Saudi Arabia’s military capacity.
He added that joint maneuvers during ATLC-35 showcased significant levels of integration and coordination among allied forces, underscoring the effectiveness of shared planning and execution.
These activities demonstrated the ability of teams to work cohesively in achieving mission objectives with precision and speed.
The ATLC-35 exercise forms part of a wider series of joint air drills aimed at upgrading aerial combat tactics and enhancing military cooperation among partner nations.
The program offers a continuous platform for forces to exchange knowledge, build interoperability and strengthen collective readiness in response to evolving regional and global challenges.
By concluding another successful edition of ATLC-35, participants reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining operational preparedness and advancing tactical capabilities.
The exercise reinforced the value of collaborative training in ensuring that air forces remain equipped, coordinated and capable of responding to a diverse range of potential scenarios.
