Saudi Arabia sends sacrificial meat aid to Egypt and Palestine
Cairo – Saudi Arabia has delivered sacrificial meat shares to Egypt and Palestine as part of its ongoing humanitarian and religious outreach efforts.
The distribution was carried out under the Kingdom’s Project for Utilization of Hady and Adahi, which oversees the management and allocation of sacrificial livestock.
A formal handover ceremony took place at the Saudi Embassy in Cairo to mark the occasion. Senior diplomatic representatives and project officials attended the event to oversee the transfer process.
During the ceremony, Saudi officials handed over shares equivalent to 30,000 sacrificial animals to Egypt. An equal number of shares were also delivered to the State of Palestine.
The transfer was presided over by the Deputy Saudi Ambassador to Egypt, Khalid bin Hammad Al-Shammari. He presented Egypt’s allocation to Major General Mohamed Reda and Palestine’s share to Ambassador Diab Al-Louh.
The ceremony was held in the presence of Saad bin Abdulrahman Al-Wabel, the General Supervisor of the Project for Utilization of Hady and Adahi. Officials emphasized the importance of transparency and coordination in the distribution process.
Saudi representatives highlighted that the program has been operational since 1983. Over the decades, it has developed into a structured system for managing the religious practice of animal sacrifice.
The project aims to ensure procedural integrity and fair distribution of sacrificial meat. It also seeks to create a lasting humanitarian impact by reaching vulnerable communities.
